58. Put the verb in the correct form: preterite or
preterite be + -ing?
1. On 9/11, when she (arrive) at work, Holly's aunt (not
know) that day was going to be a nightmare.
2. When she (sit) down to her desk, he (see) that she
(have) a lot of work.
3. At 8:46, she (stand) by the window when she (hear)
an explosion.
4. She (rush) out at once, and (run) down the stairs.
5. Her husband (watch) the news, so he (know) what
(happen).

2- When she sat down to her desk, he didn't know that she had a lot of work.

OU that she was having a lot of work.

Tout dépend du contexte.....

3- ....she was standing by the window when she heard an explosion.

4- She rushed out at once, and ran down the stairs.

5- Her husband was watching the news so he knew what happened.
