The following document is a drawing titled " The problem we all live with" in 1964 , besides , the author is Norman Rockwell. We can see in the foreground three adults walking with little black girl wearing a white dress while holding a book , meanwhile the adults they are wearing suits and a badge in which there's written "deputy US marshals " , so we can suppose that they're police officers escorting the black little girl who's probably going to educate herself at school , since we can see in her hands a book and some pencils .
On the other hand we can see in the background that these people are actually walking in the street , next to them we can see a wall stained with some tomatoes , this wall also contains a racist slur that starts with n and finishes with r , this slur is very offensive and it's a slur that targets black people . So from this we can deduce that the little girl is being escorted by these men because of the significant amount of hate black people receive, moreover it was in the 60s where there was the Jim crow laws, which were quite racist laws against people of color and specially black people . The fact that a lot of white people are sending hate to a black girl who's trying to get an education , to the point where high rank police have to escort here , is a huge problem and this is the problem the author talks about in the title : racism
