It is the story of two young children, Hansel and Gretel.
But one day their parents had nothing left to feed them, so they abandoned them in the forest.
They found their way back thanks to pebbles that Hansel had gone to look for outside the day before.
Their parents started again the next day but Hansël could not go to look for stones because the door was locked, so he took bits of bread which he sowed.
But the birds pecked at them.
For three days, Hansel and Gretel walked until they found a house of sweets. They rushed to eat some of it. An old lady welcomed them and restored them.
It turned out the old lady was a witch. She imprisoned Hansel in a cage and Gretel had to feed him to get fat.
Not knowing how to light the oven, Gretel asked the witch to show her. Meanwhile, Gretel took the opportunity to push it into the oven.
Gretel delivered her brother. They found treasure in the witch's house and found their way back to their house thanks to a duck that helped them cross a river. By showing the treasure to their parents, they became rich and lived happily ever after.
